Washington D.C. – POSITIVE RESPONSE; Several utility members in the District of Columbia have elected to use Ticket Check® as a method of positive response while others follow Title 34. If the utility district code does not use Ticket Check, the call center will display the following message; Will mark or respond to excavator directly. MONTHLY DAMAGE PREVENTION & SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETINGS
The Damage Prevention Committee meets monthly and provides a forum for owner-members (utility companies), locators, excavators, Call Center management, homeowners and all damage prevention stakeholders to discuss topics related to safety and damage prevention. Each meeting provides a safety presentation.
Topics discussed can include ticket processing, mapping, law updates, Ticket Check, work site issues, damages, training, events and outreach campaigns.The meetings start at 9:30am with refreshments being available at 9:00am. The meeting location is; Miss Utility, 7223 Parkway Drive, Hanover, MD 21076 – using the first-floor side entrance to the conference room.
