Wayne Gilmer stated that it is very important that contractors maintain those marks because they don’t last very long on the ground.

Dennis Lescalleet (Pleasants Construction) cited several examples of utility line damage invoices being received without any knowledge of the damage. He said he has been attending the damage prevention meetings for the last five years and is frustrated that damage investigation and invoicing process can be solved at a local level for certain utility owners.
